Taste cinnamon buns kanelbulle, princess cake prinsesstårta, sticky chocolate cake kladdkaka and many other pastries or cakes. Do this mid to late morning or just about any time of day. It's time to unwind, press pause and chill out.

'Exceptional. The location of the house is exceptionally beautiful. If you are looking for solitude, you will find it there and can enjoy your stay in the midst of beautiful nature with a view of the sea. When you sit in the sauna, you have a view of the sea and the sunset. The landlady was extremely helpful and accommodating. The cottage is very lovingly furnished. Once upon a time there was a wonderful holiday.'

'Incredible view, nice and easy to manage small house with a perfect host. The host was very helpful. The place is very nice and located just over the sea. Perfect place to have short or long stay. The house is located at one of the best spots in the archipelago. Lots of things to do. Has also a place to dock your boat, which gave us the option to explore some other places in the area. The house was clean and easy to manage.'

'A great place to stay with a high level of relaxation and a sympathetic host. Exceptional location, very quiet with a wonderful view of the Strömma canal. The host is very nice and helpful, we could use the bicycles on site and even could have used the sauna and motor boat. The delicious coffee pods were provided to us free of charge. In good weather, the wooden terrace can be used fantastically. The furnishings are very functional and modern.'

This historic cottage dating from 1911 has been beautifully restored and accommodates 3 guests. Cook in your full kitchen, enjoy your fireplace, terrace and BBQ. Located in Vaxholm town near the harbour and surrounded by a mixture of old style cottages and modern apartments. Cafes, bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Arrive by car or bus from Stockholm. Take ferries around the archipelago from the ferry station nearby.
'We had the most wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Vaxholm! It was the perfect mix of coziness and modern comfort, making our anniversary weekend truly special. The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the utensils for cooking, and the barbecue was a great addition for grilling in the evenings. The location couldn’t be better! The cottage is right next to a Coop supermarket, so we could easily pick up anything we needed. It’s also just a 3-minute walk to the center of Vaxholm, where we enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and cafés. This cottage was the perfect place for a relaxing and romantic getaway.'

'A very nice place. The location is perfect for relaxing, hiking and If you like it is possible to make daily trips to Stockholm. Super market, restaurants, bakery and fantastic cafés are available and it is possible to walk.'

'Peaceful large home close to shore and swimming beaches. Very spacious and well-maintained property, easy to set up a home base for a large family to enjoy spending time together without feeling cramped for space. Kitchen is well-equipped for ease of cooking meals, common areas are very comfortable, house is clean with two large bathrooms. Only ten minutes walk to sea, many paths to explore and barely any mosquitos in the area. Quiet neighborhood.'

'Just delicious! The house is attractive, light and spacious. Fully equipped. A home. Half an hour from Stockholm. You can enjoy lovely walks. Recommended. There are 10 single beds. That's really nice when you're with a group.'

'Lovely and cozy cottage. It was above all a cozy cottage, big enough for two people and tastefully decorated. Also, outside there is plenty of garden furniture to enjoy the sun. The reception by the host herself was a surprise. She had many nice tips for us and was enthusiastic. The location outside the centre of Stockholm was perfectly solved with the Tunnelbanen (= Metro). Buy a 72 hour card if you are visiting for several days.'

These magnificent herbivores are very common and are large, growing up to 2.1 metres at the shoulder, weighing up to 850 kg. So they can do a bit of damage to your average hire car. Keep vigilant on the roads. Birds are everywhere in the archipelago, especially water birds such as the stunning Eider Duck. In summer keep an eye out for the one of the most beloved Swedish flowers - the delicate Twinflower on slender stalks.
