Some places feel touched by a little enchantment. A cottage tucked beneath a cascade of old-fashioned roses, a small hideaway nestled under tall, listening trees, a lakeside retreat where mornings begin with mist and birdsong - these are the kinds of spaces that stay with us. They remind us to slow down, breathe deeply, and savour the simple beauty of life.
At My Fairytale Cottage, these special places are celebrated. My idea is to gather the world’s most charming, character-filled cottages into one inspiring, heart‑warming collection. Some of these cottages are beloved family homes. Some are treasured holiday rentals. Some are creative projects brought to life with love and imagination. All of them have a story worth sharing.
If you own a cottage
that feels magical - whether you simply want to show it to the world or you’d
like to share it with guests - I’d be delighted to welcome you into our
community.

A Place Where
Atmosphere Matters
Most websites focus on practicality: prices, amenities, availability. We focus on charm, character, and the feeling a cottage evokes. When you share your cottage on this site, it becomes part of a curated collection of magical spaces that people visit to dream, explore, and - often - to find their next getaway.
Your cottage won’t be lost among generic listings. It will sit among kindred spaces that celebrate craftsmanship, nature, and the art of slow living.
A Community of People Who Truly Appreciate Cottages
My visitors love cottages in all their forms - whimsical, rustic, historic, tiny, luxurious, quirky, or handmade. They come to my site because they’re drawn to beauty, creativity, and the sense of stepping into a gentler world.
Some are simply seeking inspiration. Others are quietly hoping to discover a place to stay. Either way, they value the soul of a cottage, not just its square footage.
Share Your Story - Whether Personal or Professional
Every cottage has a story. Maybe yours has been in the family for generations. Maybe you restored it from ruins. Maybe you built it yourself, board by board. Or maybe it’s a holiday cottage you’ve lovingly shaped for guests.
I help you tell that story in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. You can share:
If your cottage is available to book, feel free to share your booking link. It may be used as an affiliate link, which can help support the site at no extra cost to you or your guests.
If it’s not available to rent, that’s perfectly fine - many of our most cherished cottages are shared simply for the joy of it.
Inspire Others Around the World
People come to My Fairytale Cottage because they adore the charm of cottage life, whether they’re gathering ideas for their own homes and gardens, planning future renovations, dreaming up creative projects, or searching for a beautiful place to stay. Your cottage could spark someone’s imagination, help them design a cosy corner of their own, or inspire their next magical getaway.
Sharing your cottage
is a gift to dreamers everywhere.

I welcome cottages of all shapes, sizes, and styles. What matters most is character. If your cottage has any of the following qualities, it may be a perfect fit:
If your cottage feels
like a fairytale to you, I would love to hear about it.

A Curated, High‑Quality
Collection
I don’t aim to be the biggest cottage site - just the most enchanting. Every cottage is chosen with care, ensuring the collection feels cohesive, inspiring, and full of heart.
A Focus on Beauty and Story
I believe cottages are more than buildings. They’re places of emotion, memory, and imagination. My platform honours that, helping you showcase your cottage in a way that feels meaningful.
A Personal, Human Approach
I am a one-woman small team with a big love for cottages. I treat contributors like partners, not numbers. You’ll always receive thoughtful support and a warm welcome.
Share the Magic of Your Cottage
If you’ve ever wished you could show your cottage to people who would truly appreciate it - the way the light falls through the windows, the quiet corners, the handmade touches, the garden path that feels like a secret - this is your invitation. You’re welcome to share as much or as little detail as you feel comfortable with.
Your cottage has a story worth sharing. Let’s share it with the world.

This bush cottage was our home for just a short time. It was a loving home, full of history. Sitting on a bushy corner block in a leafy suburb of Sydney's north shore in the gorge country, Carlyle Cottage wove its way into our hearts.
Behind the cottage ran a trickling stream, it was here on his first day out, that our youngest cat, Duende, discovered a wild back yard for the first time, arriving home soaking wet, but happy. Unpacking and living in the house, I found myself whistling, and singing, conscious of a very happy energy within its walls. It was a joyful place. Just before moving in, we purchased a large wooden dining table with bench seats. It sat perfectly in the large central kitchen-dining-living room.

Back when the home was built, in 1923, the large family would cool their butter in the same creek.
As we gradually cleared the unkempt garden, neighbours would come to share stories of the house. The girls of the house, back in the 1920's, would earn money by picking wild flowers, probably the beautiful vanilla Flannel Flowers, and Bush Peas, and walking to the village, selling them to 'the well-to-do ladies of Lindfield.'
And we were told that because the family was so big, they had a large kitchen table with bench seats. Serendipity subtly shows us the way.
Sitting on the verandah in the evenings was very calm. But one story gave us pause for thought. Years ago, there had been a large snake living in the timbers of the roof beams. The owner shot it with a rifle, and shot a hole in the roof of the verandah at the same time! We cannot verify this story as the hole had been patched up by the time we came to live there...
The company we did have on our verandah was a possom, who found a safe haven in our electricity box. He would sleep during the day and scamper across the roof at night.
Carlyle Cottage was a sanctuary for our family and helped us deepen our love for the simple life in an Australian bush cottage, surrounded by gum trees and enveloped by the melifluous calls of magpies.
