I suggest you find your cottage below then use this map to find your way around this extensive, extraordinary landscape. Arrive at the town of Como in the south-west or Lecco in the south-east, and make your way to Bellagio in the centre by car or ferry.
Top Tips
Lake Como Cottages - take your time in the valleys and hike around the edges of the lake to enjoy various views and villages in a relaxed hike, dropping into each village for breakfast or coffee or dinner or an elegant aperitivo. Don't rush it. You cannot see it all. Just breathe. See tips below for two hikes and a charming street in Bellagio, at the heart of the lake.
Greenway del Lago di Como - this is a 10 km hike on western
lake Como that leads from Colonno to Sala Comacina, Tremezzina and Griante.
Enjoy the villages, views, architecture, villas and gardens. The starting point is at Via Strada Cappella, Colonno, at the southern end of the town.
Sentiero del Viandante or Wayfarer’s Path - this is a scenic 75 km
hike on the eastern lake Como from Lecco to Morbegno, with many shorter stages, easily accessed by ferry.
Salita Serbelloni in Bellagio - stepping into this enchanting street, you will enter into the Italian dream. This cobbled street in the centre of Bellagio is a must for its atmosphere, local art and handmade crafts, scenery and architecture. One of the most beautiful streets on Lake Como and most visited for its beauty, cafes and restaurants. Why not end the day here, with an aperitivo?
