Tudor architecture started in from England in 1485 to 1603 and features steep gable roofs, decorated stone or mason chimneys, exposed wood beams, half-timber walls, carved doorways, grouped windows in pairs, threes, or fours, sometimes with ornamental leaded glass. A light-colored stucco or stone built the walls between timber structures which created a distinctive two-toned exterior facade.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is a modern reconstruction of at 1600 theatre built to the instructions of Shakespeare's company. Unfortunately, it burnt to the ground in 1613, but was rebuilt and stayed open until all theatres were closed in 1642 during the First Civil War. In 1997 it was rebuilt with meticulous attention to historic detail and operates as a full theatre and education centre.
